Theme: Educational Opportunities in the Modern World On April 5, 2019 Bishkek Humanities University hosted a meeting with the representatives of the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic and the representatives of the American Corners and Centers in Kyrgyzstan. The principal goal of the meeting was to enhance students’ understanding of the educational opportunities and resources. The event consisted of two major parts. The first part had an informative character that covered the following topics: US Embassy Exchange Programs English Teaching/Learning Recourses American Spaces in Kyrgyzstan Maker Space Lab American English Open Educational Resources (AE OER) The participants of the event were the first and the second year students. The number of the participants was 80. The students were informed about the resources that can help them to develop their English skills. The students received detailed information about Massive Open Online Courses, American English Online, Study with us, American Corners and Centers in Kyrgyzstan. The session was also beneficial for language teachers. The information about professional opportunities, academic magazines, programs was disseminated. The second part of the event covered a practical form. Twenty five students were engaged in an interactive workshop related to the Maker Space Lab. Students were amazed to discover the peculiarities of the following activities: Art drawing pencil pen Connection of different objects to computer programs Electronic snaps Educational games Origami Тема: Образовательные Возможности в Современном Мире Факультет Европейских Цивилизаций организовал встречу студентов первого и второго курса с представителями американского посольства в Кыргызстане и с представителями американских уголков и центров Кыргызстана. Основная задача мероприятия заключалась в том, чтобы проинформировать студентов о разнообразных полезных образовательных возможностях и ресурсах. Мероприятие состояло из двух частей. В первой части выступали спикеры. Студенты получили детальную информацию относительно следующих тем: Американские программы по обмену Ресурсы по преподаванию и изучению английского языка Американские центры в Кыргызстане Лаборатория Мэйкер Спэйс Общедоступные образовательные ресурсы Вторая часть мероприятия имела практический характер. Студенты участвовали в интересном тренинге по освоению Мэйкер Спэйс. Связь различных предметов с компьютерными программами, образовательные игры, электронные ручки, оригами помогли студентам ближе познакомиться с новым веянием электронного мира. |
